Tis the season to be blogging: blog-a la-la-la!  Which brings me to the topic.  As a relatively new HR blogger, I am both amazed and amused by the musings of my colleagues.  Regularly, I follow http://www.recruitingblogs.com/ and http://www.rceuro.com.  The list of savvy HR bloggers I follow is so extensive there’s not enough room in this post to list them all.  Jessica, @blogging4jobs on twitter created an awesome national list of HR bloggers worth noting: http://bit.ly/93gNd8

Just tweeted something that sounded racy, but really it’s not.  “Tis the season to drink eggnog and blog your brains out.”  For those of us passionate about writing, everyday is the season to blog.  Write when you don’t feel like it, because it will fuel your engines when you do.  For some people, writers block keeps them from blogging.  That’s not the case with me.  Writing is a form of discipline, and consistency is the key to learning, improving, and sharpening the tools of our craft.

I say, write for the passion of writing itself.  Words will spring forth from your fingertips if you write from your heart, and express freely what is in your mind.  Write who you are, and the ideas will follow, because who you are is unique.  Each person has a voice within that wants to escape through their fingertips.  The question is, are you ready to unleash your voice through words?  I encourage all my colleagues, whether they are in HR or a different industry to try their hand at blogging, because practice may not make perfect, but it will make YOU stronger.

So, blog away my friends, blog away.
