Every week, I seek out people doing extraordinary things in the Recruiting/HR community to be guests on Compassionate HR. William Tincup exemplifies generosity, and encourages his employees to follow suit. Tonight, William beautifully articulated his vision in supporting the arts in Texas where he documents public art of all genres. In time, he will develop a walking trail brochure that will be a guide to all the noteworthy public art in the area. The public art includes sculpture, horticultural art, monuments, and even paintings on buildings. This project is called “Art Worth.” He plans to document via the web (www.artworth.org). He’s passionate about this project and hopes to inspire people to understand and appreciate public art. He’s made a 5 year commitment to this project. In addition he’s empowered his employees to engage and volunteer with the local Opera. They’ve banded together to do fund raising events, and Opera appreciation.
In addition, his employees are involved in serving the Leukemia foundation. They raise funds by getting donors to support their athletic events. Next year, they plan to build a home for habitat for humanity. Now a little about his background:
“William Tincup is the co-owner of “the best human capital marketing firm in the world,” Starr Tincup (www.starrtincup.com). He is active in social media (LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter) and blogs regularly at JPIE (www.jpie.com). He is a graduate of Leadership Fort Worth (2004) and Tarrant County’s United Way Blueprint for Board Service (2004). In 2007, he was honored as a “40 Under 40″ by the Fort Worth Business Press.
