Illumination is another term for lightning and this is the purposeful use of light to gain a logical effect to beautify surroundings. Lightning has different sources such as the artificial sources that include lamps and light fixtures and the natural sources that include the daylight. The main source of light for building structures is daylight which is considered as a natural source of light. Through using daylight as the main source of light for buildings during the daytime, can save cost for energy consumption for businesses as artificial lighting is not used during the daytime.

Among other developments, electricity and incandescent light bulb were improved thus making it the primary sources of light for indoor areas in houses and buildings especially during a nigh time wherein people extended their hours to do something at night. The main purpose of different kinds of lighting fixtures is to provide suitable lighting in households and work areas and to prevent visual glare also. Among the various lighting fixtures, it can vary from being plain to being functional and artistic in a way as long as it can tolerate the excess heat and as long as it abides the safety code.
The use of lighting is very important in almost all aspects of our lives because we have to use various kinds of lights for us to be able to see, tow work and to live properly especially in the night time. Since there is evolution of technology and discovery as well, there is always a need to also evolve in terms of using various kinds of light bulbs. This is why the lighting industry has always thought of innovations as well so that people can use it efficiently and effectively as well in different aspects of their lives and this is very helpful as years passed by and evolution of lightning begins.
