Ways of Gaining Better Spearfishing Skills
Spear fishing is s lifestyle to many people because some depend on it to earn a living while others take it as the best recreational activity they can ever engage in. You may need a license if spearfishing is illegal in your state. Some states have set up legal recreational facilities for people to have fun spearfishing.
When you spearfish as a team, it is more fun and more comfortable because you will teach each other. You cannot know everything about something when you are learning, but someone in the team will guide you and what you know will guide another person so that together you improve your spearfishing skills.
Preparation comes in after you have your group of people you will be exploring spearfishing with. Planning will help you to bring all the tools that you need so that you do not get to the fishing spot and get discouraged when you remember the tools you have forgotten. Please bring with you first aid kit, fins, fin socks, gloves, mask and snorkel, wetsuit, float line, and float, knife, a spear gun, shaft, and line, extra gear, and weights and belt. You can add or remove some items from the list.
Do not tense or get anxious because you need to relax for you to concentrate hence distract yourself a little a few hours to the task. You can easily distract yourselves as you stroll or drive to the fishing sport such as YouTube videos, stay on social media, sing, tell stories and so much more to avoid overexcitement.
Spearfishing is not the time to meditate about the many problems that you have been facing lately but a moment of forgetting everything and finding happiness in the small things that you will do throughout the time you will be fishing. Have fun but watch out for one other because assumptions that everyone is alright can lead to disaster. If you want to have a difficult time catching fish, wear serious gloomy face and chase fish all by yourself without flexing a muscle because that will kill the vibe, ruin your mood and get you frustrated every time you shoot and miss your target.
Through spearfishing, you learn self-control or mental and emotional discipline. Sea creatures are able to use body language to determine the danger and stay away from it thus you will have to find ways to approach the fish without startling them with your body language. You need to be disciplined, patient and an observer for you to learn how the fish move so that you imitate them. You will be excited for catching some fish, or you will be disappointed that your efforts did not pay off, but the learning experience will continue to shape your character when you are able to control your emotions and reactions to every situation.
